Introducing: The Trifecta

It's been eight months since we started the Box of Wine Book Club, and our membership has waxed and waned.  There are a few people who are regular participants, a handful that jump in on occasion, and a slew of people who just check in to see what we're reading - and all are welcome.  Our coverage spans several states (Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Minnesota, New York, North Dakota, South Dakota, Virginia, Washington) and extends internationally (London, Singapore).  I think we'd all agree that it's nice to have a place to get some recommendations and read together with people who share our love of books.  But have you ever wondered:
- Who is that person who hated the book I loved?
- Who is that fine gal who picked such a terrific book?
- Jennie picked such a lousy book again, I wonder if she's been in a car wreck?
- Who invited that girl?

I know most of you personally, but there are many of you who probably don't know each other.  As a way to get to know each other a little better while hearing more about good books and authors to read, I introduce to you "The Trifecta".  Each month, one book club participant/voyeur will be selected to prepare that month's Trifecta.  The Trifecta consists of three parts (see the theme here?):
Photo: So we know what you look like.  You can be creative and show us what you look like when you read (an action shot, really), use your high school graduation picture, or any picture as long as we can actually see you in it.  Part of the purpose here is to help us visualize.  And visualize who you really are.  I'll know if you photo shop your head onto someone else's body, so don't even try.
Profile: Some general and basic info.  Tell us your name, where you live, your occupation, marital status, kids/no kids...whatever you'd like.  You can keep it general.  It's not a resume, just an introduction.
Book Biography: Use books to tell us a little about yourself.  Your Book Biography can relate any of the following:
- Your three favorite books
- Your three favorite authors
- The three books that most changed your life
- Three books you read but will never read again
- Three books that are on your nightstand/desk/floor
- Three books that will always remind you of a specific time in your life
- Three regional authors you love (your own region or someone else's)
- Or any other ideas you can come up with (but they must come in threes - the Trifecta, you know)

Each month I'll contact someone to let you know that it's your turn for the Trifecta.  If you opt out, I may let you off the hook or I may make up your Trifecta ...depending.
