The Photo

I can read anywhere, even when the lighting is limited.  When I was a kid I would read a lot in the car, holding my book up high so that I could use the headlights of car behind us to illuminate the page.  When my kids were babies, I would read while nursing or giving them bottles, usually with the lights set very low to encourage sleep.  And now, Martin likes me to sit with him for awhile while he tries to drift off to sleep.  I read with the book just inches from my face so that I can make out the words using only the dim light that drifts out from the open closet door.  This is my secret and I hide it from Marty.  He says this is why I wear glasses.  When he spots me in any of these situations, I hide the book or pretend that I was just about to get up and turn on a lamp.
