Recommended Reading: June 2007

There's something about summertime that makes me want to REALLY read.  Maybe it's the longer daylight hours or possibly a holdover from all those summers participating in the library's summer reading program.  Whatever the reason, I'm hoping to find the time this summer to power through the books that have been slowly stacking up on my nightstand throughout the winter.

What are you reading this summer?  Anything really good?  Anything that you re-read every summer?  Write your book suggestions here.

Please include the title, author's name, and a brief description of the book, your thoughts and comments.

The Birth of Venus, by Sarah Dunant. A Broad Mural Bursting with Color, Passion, and Intrigue. Ok, someone else wrote that, but I say A good read, interest picture of a young girl in Florence deciding who to be. Interesting historically, as well. Worth the read.
