What are you reading this month? Anything that we shouldn't miss? What do you have on your list of books to start? I'm always looking for new authors do discover and books to pour through. If you have suggestions, please send them my way.
Please be sure to add the title, author's name, and a brief description of the book, your thoughts and comments.

This month I am working on two books. The two books are:
Book One:
"The Other Queen" by Phillipa Gregory.
This novel is about Mary, Queen of Scots. I have loved every other book Phillipa Gregory has written, so I am sure this one will also be a delight.
Book Two:
"The Story of Edgar Sawtelle" by David Wroblewski. I know very little about this author. But the front flap describes the story of a mute boy and his family who raise "a fictional" breed of dogs." His life is altered when his father dies and his uncle attempts to assume all of his father's roles, even those with his mother. He flees to the wilderness with three yearling pups. He lives in the wild waiting for the day to return to face his father's murderer and take charge of the family's dedication to raising their dogs.
I will let you all know how both books are as soon as I am finished!

I just finished reading "The Last of the Savages" by Jay McInerney - I picked it up after reading an article written by our book club member, Amanda, who recommended it. It was the first book I'd read by McInerney. I really enjoyed his style and the characters. It was a great book - I'd highly recommend it.
I will also check out other books that Amanda recommended, it looks like there are some good ones on this list:

AMERICAN WIFE by Curtis Sittenfeld is fiction, but is loosely based on George and Laura. I enjoyed it.
